Types of Diamond Cuts

During the design of a diamond, a style or design guide is used, this is known as a diamond cut. It does not apply refer to any form, but it is the symmetry, proportion and surface of a diamond. If the cut of the diamond is poor, then the effect would be directly on its luminosity, cut in the selection of, the shape and size of the crystal will be considered.

It basically consists of symmetrical arrangement the facets that change the shape and appearance of a diamond crystal. The two most important aspects of the cut are the polish and symmetry. The smoothness of the facets depends by the Polish and the orientation of the facets make the symmetry. When the polish is not up to the mark then the facet is blunted and blurred one would sparkle. In the case of symmetry to be poor, the light would misguided when it occurs and leaves the diamonds.

Basically there are five type diamond Round Brilliant cuts namely, modified brilliants, step cuts, mixed cuts, and rose cuts. The Round Brilliant is the most popular cut, and the choice of many due to its Elegance and simplicity, as the name says, it has a circle cut diamond.

The Modified Brilliant is the modified version of the Round Brilliant. It can operate in different Forms will be changed because one facet and facet arrangements are the same, it is also the marketable compared to other cuts. It contains sections such as marquise, Heart, triangle, trillion, oval, and the pear or drop sections.
The step sections are the sections where the stone are either square or rectangular. The facets of these cuts are straight and parallel to the belt. There are different types of diamond shapes that are as round, oval and cushion shapes, Princess, Emerald, Asscher diamonds, marquise diamonds and radiant, pear and heart diamonds and so on.
